Bioclimatic Architecture workshop in Pistoia What do we mean by bioclimatic architecture design? An important question for all architects who care about sustainability, to be addressed during the Bioclimatic Architecture workshop organised by the Green Hub Cultural Association in collaboration with the Pistoia Association of Architects, Designers, Landscape Architects and Curators (Ordine degli Architetti, P.P.C.).

We all know that there is an unbroken connection between environment and architecture, about this fundamental interaction that should require designers from the outset to take into account an appropriate design approach that makes the most of the site's resources and effectively implements these into the building.
The Green Hub cultural association, established by architects Daniele Menichini, Sergio Bini, Lorenzo Bagnoli and Angelo Lanzetta with the goal of promoting and disseminating the culture of eco-responsibility in design at the architectural and urban level, in collaboration with the Pistoia Association of Architects, Designers, Landscape Architects and Curators (Ordine degli Architetti, P.P.C.) proposes a 16-hr workshop addressing this, to be held on two separate days. On 15 and 22 March 2017, the workshop intends to give architects the tools for conscious design to keep the impact of human settlement to a minimum - one of an increasingly important number of issues in the culture of contemporary design.
Light, colour, soil permeability and water resources, ventilation, microclimate plus the correct use of trees and bushes are just some of the topics that will be addressed in 8 modules, ending with a final practical exercise on setting up a case study project to give an organic summing up of the issues covered during the workshop.
An opportunity for architecture students to broaden their awareness in the bioclimatic area and gain 16 course credits.
