Sustainable design - stylised and technological nature With the International Furniture Fair in Milan coming up soon, we're starting to look at sustainable design around the world. Architect Daniele Menichini is the mind behind the “Oggetti della Foresta” collection for Boffetto, currently on exhibition in Singapore.

A sustainable lifestyle is often confused with a vernacular, sort of rustic style featuring the ubiquitous repurposed pallet - in the main coated with eco-friendly paint or even left in its natural state - as a piece of furniture.
Still, there are lots of cases when it isn't quite like that, such as in the Green_Zero project by Italian architect Daniele Menichini, where he brings together formal elegance with Class A certification to the CasaClima standard.
Following in this vein, where living in symbiosis with nature doesn't necessarily mean you have to give up certain comforts of life or aesthetics, is where “Oggetti della Foresta” for Boffetto comes in. This collection of furniture is the product of extensive experience in the field of green building, inspired by nature - by its simplicity and its complexity, at the same time.
The tables, shelves, and lamps designed by Daniele Menichini bring a stylised and technological nature into the buildings, a counterpoint to the outside, both in the city and the country to create contemporary, environmentally aware interiors.
The “Oggetti della Foresta” line is based on an eco-sustainable philosophy that brings together the desire for formal innovation with the longing to be close to nature even when you live in the city. Cities like Singapore, for example, where the collection is on exhibition at the IFFS from 9 to 12 March, as part of the special project called THE ITALIAN HOSPITALITY.
